An Ambitious New Niche Publisher

Finding Elara Podcast, Themed Novellas, Author Community, Low Content Books.

Established in 2024, by DL Nix, Bushland Castle Productions AKA BCP Creative has built a small team of likeminded creatives to share in her vision of creating a community that supports the Author to develop their talents. Creating the Logo was one of the first steps and it means something special to DL. It Incorporates her love for podcasting in the microphone Arch. Her passion to help people with their books as set in the window. The small bushland around the base of the castle is a link to her Australian heritage and the tendency to call homes castles, even when it is far from it.

The Vision for BCP Creative is set into 4 different areas, but they all have the same focus, Worldbuilding and Mindfulness.

Finding Elara Podcast

Starting out in 2018, Finding Elara is for Authors Artist and Creatives to share their worldbuilding style and Mindfulness Strategies. This is an interview series that encourages guests to share in some of their personal journey and how they manage their creative world. Everyone that DL has interviewed so far has had a different answer to what Mindfulness means to them and how they approach worldbuilding.

The Podcast likes to encourage listener participation and has grown a loyal community of followers that are always keen to ask questions and participate in competitions. The current competition is called a treasure chest give-away and listeners share the key word and can earn up to 30 loot points for their best chance to win.

Themed Novella Series'

Starting in 2025 the doors opened for the first Novella series Themed Otherworldly Emergence. The goal is to have 26 different Authors share their speculative fiction story with the BCP team and have it come out as a series half way through next year. The team are so excited to read the different stories and experience the mysteries being unveiled.

The second theme that will be open for submission in August 2025 is Australians: Living in the 70s which can be memoir, creative non-fiction or biographical memoir. The amount of change in Australia since the 70s makes it look like a different world.

The themes have been planned in advance for the next three years and the team are hoping to build a trusted name in the novella space. Some of the new themes to look forward to are, Otherworldly Origins, Otherworldly Myths. Australians: Living in the 80s and 90s.

Author Community

Starting with the Page 1 course which is currently under Beta testing, People will be welcomed into the BCP writing community where there are regular accountability meetings, Mindset Reset gatherings, Write-ins and Masterminds.

Upon completion of the page one course a writer starts off as a squire and then builds their way through one of the pathways that they choose to align with. Each level within the community has increased perks and coaching to help with their writing development. It is a fun way to encourage people to stick around and build upon their knowledge. We hope that people will want to stay all the way until they become a mentor themself. Sharing what you know with new writers encourages people to keep an open mindset and continue to grow.

Low Content Books

Continuing on with the theme of Worldbuilding and Mindfulness, The team at BCP have created a number of low content journals and Prompt books that will help awaken creativity and build out their ideas. Partnering with a number of Authors to continue developing the low content line will bolster opportunities for more creatives to play in their art. Working their creative muscles in a fun new way.
