The Bushland Scrolls Competition opened on the second of April and it was closed on the 17th of June. All the Entries were Notified after the competition closed and then the documents needed to be processed in preparation for the competition. During this period of time the identifying information was removed from the submissions and the Shortlist was created. There are 4 Submissions that have made it to the Shortlist for each Category The Submissions have now been sent off to the Council Quills for review. Catalyst Scroll Council of Quills Members

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to go to SwanCon. This is a Convention that focusses on Sci-fi Fantasy and Horror based in Perth. I hadn't heard of it until last year and as soon as I did I knew it was an event that I would like to attend. I even committed myself to hosting some panels about publishing and podcasting a few months ago. A few of my friends have attended in the past and advised that it was a worthwhile event but they hadn't been in a few years.
