Series Launch Plan

Because the selection of authors for the Otherworldly Emergence Novella Series are widespread; we have decided to complete an online launch for the series. As we are a West Australian based company, we have decided to celebrate on a Friday night. Not just any Friday night, it is my Birthday.

Everyone who attends the launch will get an exclusive poster of the series and have an opportunity to celebrate with the Authors and Creators that are in attendance. There will be a chance to ask questions, some fun games and excerpts from the books linking element. The Reaper assignments. There is also a door prize that will be announced on the night that I am really excited about. Because, how better to celebrate your birthday than give things away.

What would I consider a successful event? Well that is easy. I want to be able to cover all the costs for the event. Anything more than that is gravy. I want the people that are attending the event to make the most of it and enjoy themselves. That is something that is a little harder to measure though.

With all of the launches that I have attended in the past, admittedly it hasn't been many, I have enjoyed listening to the Authors share a little about their journey, so I hope that the Authors are willing to talk about that. To share that information with the guests. Like precious gems.

What could go wrong? Oh there are so many moving parts for an event like this. The site could crash. The link could go wrong. No-one can show up. Everyone can be sick on one day. People may not be interested in the series and not show up. Oh the list goes on.

What controls can we put in place for that? Make sure that it is shared out into the world and double check the links. Trust that I have done all that I can to support the team and encourage them to celebrate in their own way. It is a thing to be celebrated.

So the tickets are now live and we will have to wait and see what it looks like over the next few months. I will make sure I blog about it so you are kept up to date. I will also keep the OWE page up to date with what is going on with the series.
