I don't know when it started, date wise, but I met Dianna some time in 2024. She'd just started up BCP Creations and wanted to put out a collaborative novella series.

So, write-ins. Why do we do them?

The first book that Murray wrote was a long time in the making. It started with letters and progressed into an adventure he could never forget. Exploring the places that the stories were written and learning more about the person that wrote them. Murray was really passionate and invested in the story and you could hear it in his voice during the chat.

I was so excited to talk to Heather, not only because she is an incredible creative, but because she one of the squires for the Otherworldly Emergence Speculative Fiction Novella Series. So, we all know that writing a novel, novella or even a saga can be a soloist performance. But sometimes it doesn't have to be. Are there times when you wish you had someone to throw ideas around with? To brainstorm with or just have a chat with?

The first fiction reading journal I used wasn't really anything special. I had heard of the idea from someone online and thought that would be a great way to keep track of the books I had read and remind me about the stories, months or years down the track. It has come in handy when a third book comes out and I really want to read it, but it was a while ago since I read the first. There are so many reasons that you can fall through the gaps into this liminal space. Sometimes for but a moment and sometimes for longer than you would like to admit.

So, I am a big-picture writer. I don't see the words I write, I see the scenes I create. And sometimes that comes with smells, but it always comes with sound, visuals and feelings.
