Leading into the Otherworldly emergence we need to start raising awareness of the series and provide little teasers about what is coming with the series. The hooks for each of the stories and the development of the covers. At BCP we are trying to be transparent about out process and keep people who are interested in the loop with what we are putting together to share with the world.

Have you heard of a street team before?
In the bookish world a street team are a collective group of people that help with the promotion and marketing of a product or service. I would imagine that the larger publishers are in a position to hire the street team to promote and encourage interest on the wider scale, but I am a micro publisher. Which means a very small dedicated team of people that are passionate about the what we do. It also means that we reach out to others more often, support other small bookish businesses and help where we can. So, we are looking for people to join the street team for Otherworldly Emergence, would you be interested in helping us?
What a street team does
Promoter the upcoming book series online or in person
Read and provide and honest review of the books as they come out
Support and engage in events (Online Launch parties and live streams)
Reach out to their local media to share the new as far as you can.
Why people join launch teams
Because they want to support a new series or bookish product
They generally receive ARC copies of the books so they can read in advance (under a cone of silence until release)
Early access to cover reveals and behind the scenes
Acknowledgement from the creator
How do you become a member of a street team
For the Otherworldly Emergence series, we have an expression of interest form to fill out and then one of the team members will get back to you with more information.
For other authors, if you follow them, then they will put a call out on the their email list, or you can generally contact them directly/through their site and ask. I am a member of a few street teams after Beta reading for them and it is a very rewarding to see someone else succeed at things they are passionate about. For you as the street team member it is about more than the book, it is about supporting and encouraging something that you believe in.
When does the commitment end
Being a member of a Street team is not a lifelong commitment, it is for the project. When the next project starts then you will have the option to apply again, it is not automatic. It is similar to being involved in a kickstarter campaign.
Difference between a street team and a membership
There are a few different membership option that are available in recent times. This is different from a street team. This could be in the form of Patreon, Ko-fi, buymeacoffee or directly on the site. It is different for everyone. This would mean that you are supporting the artist/company themself and not just the project.
Everyone in the creative world is trying to make ends meet, so if there is a way that you can support you may surprise yourself with how it works both ways.
