Worldbuilding Show Notes

  • •    Different depending on the books you're writing.
    •    Explanations have to make things sound feasible.
    •    Don't need to build today's world.
    •    Interactions need to be realistic. Jargon has to be realistic for those who are knowledgeable. Need to balance knowledgeable readers and readers not with that experience.
    •    Don't dump all info, but give enough.
    •    Touch points of where the world should go but can grow in between - key points already known.
    •    Horror - hero up
    •    Franklin's shadow organisation - high-integrity - reset wrongs
    •    Layers are important - multi-sensory experience - don't layer it so thick that the story is lost
